Providence, RI – September 14, 2023 – The Rhode Island Black Business Association(RIBBA) is thrilled to announce its Honorary Chair Helena Foulkes, former President of CVS Pharmacy for its upcoming Annual Awards Gala, themed “Thriving Futures: The Collective Power of Now”. This grand event will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, Rhode Island on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 6PM – 11PM.
With her remarkable leadership, immense impact on our State and Corporate America, and talent for strategic innovation, Foulkes was the obvious choice for the title! Helena’s goal for Rhode Island, among many, is to spur job growth and create an equitable economy through high-quality public education. She shares the mission our organization ambitiously strives toward: to provide dynamic leadership, advocacy, economic opportunities, and empowerment that strengthen and promote sustainable growth and prosperity within Rhode Island’s underserved communities.
The former Democratic candidate for Governor of Rhode Island is currently the Executive Chair of Follet Higher Education group. Helena Foulkes carries decades of experience in senior leadership as a CEO and Senior Executive. She spent 25 years at CVS Health, most recently as President of CVS Pharmacy and Executive Vice President of CVS Health. Helena is a purpose-driven leader, who was a critical part of the rebranding of CVS Health. Helena fostered the company’s decision to cease tobacco sales to align with their role as the largest pharmacy healthcare provider in the United States.
