What is the LEAP Mentor Program?

The LEAP (Leadership Equity Accelerated Pathway) is a free 5-month cohort based program which mission is to train and support Asian, Black, Hispanic or Latino, Indigenous and multi-racial youth and young adults through their academic and career goals.

The LEAP’s leadership and mentorship training program aims to build capacity and develop necessary professional skills. In addition, participants will be matched with a mentor. The mentor’s role is to provide honest and constructive feedback while sharing their knowledge, skills and experience in guiding the participant down a productive and goal-oriented path. 

Trainings occur once a month from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at Sprout Co-Working, 166 Valley St. in Providence, RI.

What is the LEAP Mentor Program by RIBBA?

The LEAP (Leadership Equity Accelerated Pathway) Mentor Program’s MISSION is to train and support individuals through their academic and early careers by providing well-informed programs and services that strengthen their skills and support the many complex challenges they face.

The program will take place over the course of 5 months, starting in December 2022 through May 2023. Pairs will meet for at least 1.5 hours per month and take part in mentor program meet-ups, educational workshops, and have access to career & business coaching.

Mentors will be matched with college through early career aged mentees. Mentor and Mentee pairs will work together solving attainable goals, resolving challenges and removing barriers with the support of RIBBA.
