2023 Annual Awards Gala

Welcome to the Rhode Island Black Business Association

The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA)  is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the business opportunities and vitality of Black-owned and minority businesses in Rhode Island through, business development resources, entrepreneur training, contracting, business advocacy, meaningful investor services, workforce development, and access to capital.

RIBBA is made up of individuals and businesses of all sizes and membership is open to the public. The organization strives to build a purpose-driven Association where people unite and take action to create lasting change. RIBBA values diversity and celebrates the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, abilities, socioeconomic status, culture, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

RIBBA leverages the region’s core assets to find solutions in the area that matter most to its members and the community: contract opportunities, access to capital, quality jobs, growth, and quality of life.

The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) provides programs and services to support businesses of all sizes in their sustainable growth and equitable talent development.

Workforce Development Programs

IEED is the charitable arm of the RIBBA. IEED provides workforce development programs to train diverse, empowered, and well-informed individuals. Learn more about our Emerging Leaders Development Program and Leadership Equity Accelerated Pathway (LEAP) Mentorship & Training Programs.

Advocacy

If you need an advocate on your side at City Hall or with state agencies, we will guide you through the governmental bureaucracy, and speak on your behalf at agency meetings and hearings. Fill out a business profile today.
