Cynthia Scott has been a volunteer and Board Member with RIBBA for many years. She’s supported the organization in a variety of capacities, focusing intensely on ways to support and grow Black businesses. Throughout Cynthia’s adult life, she has been a fierce advocate for issues that affect workers and marginalized individuals and families. Over the next 23 years, Cynthia held professional positions managing, directing and designing employment and training programs at federal, state and local levels including serving as Director of Planning for the U S Virgin Islands Department of Labor. In addition to her very impactful professional career, Cynthia sustained her interest in art and has exhibited solo and in group shows in Chicago, Philadelphia, Richmond and in and around Boston. She is a founder of the New England Women Artists of Color Association (NEWOCA) and has mounted numerous exhibitions of women’s art in the Boston area and several exhibitions in Rhode Island.

In 2002, Cynthia relocated to Rhode Island upon retiring from her position as the Director of Grants at Roxbury Community College. In 2003, she began to work for change in Rhode Island as she’d done for every other place she’d live before this. 

My name is Jackeline Nunez, I am an IT trusted leader with more than 12 years of experience driving success and innovation, with the ability to implement high-profile Information technology programs and business strategies that align with business goals and objectives. I am Collaborator with passion for challenges and creation of innovative solutions for customers. Well-known for understanding business needs, requirements, technology solutions, business processes, and culture. Certified Scrum Master, Licensed Product Owner, and Safe Practitioner.

I am a Product Owner for the Digital Minute Clinic at CVS Health. In my role I help the business with technical solutions looking to enhance the customer experience when they are booking their visit in the digital scheduling for the Minute Clinic.

On the personal side, I came from the Dominican Republic 4 years ago with the dream to achieve great things for my family and my community. I am a Military spouse with three beautiful children seeking to find ways to better the environment my children are growing in so they can feel safe and embrace their heritage with pride.

I am an avid advocate of Diversity and Inclusion across the board, as well as, for Health and Housing Equity. My hobby is to spend quality time with my family and serve in my community as a mentor for young adults and advisor for those looking for empowerment and guidance for their career journey, interest in buying a home, and translation services.

Robin Peterson Gibbs is a Regional Director of International Advancement at Brown University. Prior to Brown, Robin lived and worked internationally for 17 years holding roles in financial services and fundraising for Goldman Sachs and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, England, Tshikululu Social Investments in Johannesburg, South Africa and as a fundraising consultant in Dubai, UAE. Robin was raised in Rhode Island and holds an AB from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University

Casby Harrison III, is a litigation attorney based in Providence with 38 years-experience speaking to judges and juries about employment discrimination, broken contracts and personal injuries caused by the negligence of others.  He has been a member of Business Networking International, a word of mouth networking organization for 12 years.  Networking is so natural to him, he can be found networking in the grocery store checkout line, at the doctor’s office as well as at business mixers.  Attorney Harrison takes advantage of every opportunity that’s presented to him on a daily basis to provide opportunities for the people in his network.   

Marjorie Delille, is joining RIBBA as our newest board member. Outside of RIBBA Marjorie works as a Clinical Behavioral Health Project Manager with the State of Rhode Island. She also served as a Trauma Care Project Director and Culturally Inclusive Trauma-Informed Vice Chair at Thundermist Health Center. Marjorie transitioned from a career in social work in the health care setting, where she held multiple positions, including a substance abuse counselor, director of social services, rehabilitative counselor and clinical social worker. Outside her professional work experience, Marjorie serves as the Board Vice President for the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless.  Marjorie is a Rhode Island native and enjoys spending her free time outdoors (hiking, running, walking, and aerobics), playing the piano, and making cover songs! She also enjoys cooking and spending time with loved ones.

Etienne Kotey has been the Managing Partner for Effortless Laundry & Dry Cleaning since 2008. He’s also a local real estate investor. Community engagement is one of his passions. Etienne was the Vice president of RI Young Professionals, Mentors through Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education, volunteers on political campaigns among other community involvement. He hopes to help bridge the gap between the business world and his community to be a part of sustainable growth and prosperity.

Grant Falconer is a Program Director with Santander Bank. Grant has spent 35+ years in financial services, of which 20 were spent leading major strategic initiatives including the replacement Branch Image Capture Teller Program, divestiture of Charter One Branch (Illinois) and the RBS – Citizens Bank Separation and Rebranding Program. Most recently Grant has led the Work Café (New Branch concept) and the SBA Paycheck Protection Programs at Santander. Prior to moving to the USA 2011, Grant lived in Edinburgh, Scotland where he worked on a number of M&A integration programs for Royal Bank of Scotland include the acquisition of Nat West and Ulster Bank. Grant is excited and honored to be part of the RIBBA Board and committed to helping “Make a Difference’ for Black owned and Minority businesses within Rhode Island.
